Prices are per room per night for two adults and are inclusive of VAT at current rate (Value break prices are listed per person). Prices in brackets ( ) are for dedicated single rooms.

Tariff Terms and Conditions 

Children

When sharing rooms with two adults, children 4 years & under stay free of charge on our Bed and Breakfast tariff (For Dinner, Bed & Breakfast a Children's Menu supplement may be applicable). When sharing with two adults, for children 5 - 11 years there is a daily charge of £12.00 Bed and Breakfast or £20.00 for 12-15 year-olds. Many of our double or twin rooms take may take an extra bed, please get in contact to find out more.  Children staying in their own room are charged at 50% of room rate (Bed & Breakfast tariff), except during Folk Week (4th August - 11th) and September when full terms will be charged.

Rooms

All advertised terms are per room inclusive of VAT at the current rate gratuities are left to the discretion of guests.  Dedicated Single rooms are charged with no supplement.  All rooms have a private en suite with bath or shower - flat-screen TV Free-view with radio - direct dial telephone - tea making facilities. We can only be responsible for valuables that have been receipted at reception.

Access

The Royal Glen is a Grade A listed building, constructed on different levels, so there are steps. There is a platform lift which gives access to 16 rooms. Plus many ground floor rooms have access via outside. Please ask for our disability statement if required. The hotel has been welcoming guests for over 100 years, owned by the same family, Mrs Hilary Caldwell & Mrs Vivienne Bess & the loyal, friendly enthusiastic staff have a genuine wish to make your stay happy and comfortable. Please do not hesitate to request any special requirements you may have when booking.

Facilities

There are many facilities on offer including an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, putting green and secluded gardens. For full information see our facilities page.

Parking

All parking is at visitors' own risk. There are 25 spaces in our car park.

Dining

Lilly's Restaurant offers a seasonal menu with choices and daily changing specials.  It is recommended that guests book Dinner in advance to avoid disappointment. A Children's Menu is available but must be pre-booked.  Bar Snacks are available in the Kent Bar 12-2pm ; Packed Lunches are available to book, please ask for more information. There is no reduction for meals not taken by guests with a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast tariff reservation.

Dogs

We welcome well-behaved dogs to stay in our Standard or Selected Rooms, at a supplement charge of £15 per day. Please note however that dogs are not allowed in the Drawing Room, Bar or Dining Room. There are rooms with easy access, or direct access to outside which can be very convenient for dog-owner, please contact us to find out more. Dogs are only allowed on the main beach from October to April inclusive.

Smoking

The Hotel operates a non-smoking policy throughout.

Reservation Fee

For Early Bird bookings £75.00 per person is requested upon making a reservation, this will be credited to the account. Please insure your holiday, This policy will be reviewed in line with the latest government guidelines.  The deposit is non-refundable against cancellation, except if covered by insurance. The cancellation is free of charge 14 days prior to date of arrival,  Cancellation within 14 days will be charged in full.   There are advanced purchase rates with no cancellation.

The terms quoted are subject to amendment, should rates have to be adjusted at any time guests would be notified immediately. The hotel reserves the right to cancel a booking without liability in any event beyond its control. In such an event the hotel will refund the deposit but will have no further liability to the guest.
